It's a Cloche Call!!

Marty at A Stroll Thru Life is having a cloche party!!

This was purchased at a Thrift Store for $20.00.
It sits on Moms buffet in the dining room.
I love the bell shape of the glass and the lacy look heart trim.

These little goodies are actually candles! They look and smell good enough to eat!
Thanks so much for stopping by and please go visit  Marty to see all the other cloche party participants!
Have a great night and Thanks so much for stopping by!

Blue Willow Breakfast at Moms

I'm in TN!! I came to help my Mom out after she had been in the hospital and a few days after being here I ended up having to rush my Dad to the ER at midnight.

It has been very busy and very stressful around here but they both are feeling better and I'm just so glad that I'm able to help them when they need it.

SO! with everyone on the mend I decided it was time for a tablescape.
I pulled out the Blue Willow from the china cabinet and set to work.

We enjoyed biscuits, gravy, sausage, scrambled eggs and melon.
It was DE-LICIOUS!!

These glass dessert cups are a fabulous Goodwill find that my brother purchased for  Mom.
Hi Lance!! :)
They are a set of 10 and he got them for $1 each!!

I love this vintage gingham apron that we found at the Flea Market for .50

We inverted a Dollar Tree dish to add some height under the Teapot.

The pretty butter dish is a Goodwill purchase and I believe it was $3.00
It is originally from Cracker Barrell.

We put a cream shower curtain down and overlaid it with a piece of beautiful toile fabric.

This set of butter knives was a gift to my Mom from her sister.

Vegetable Garden Tablescape & A Recipe!

I have been collecting items for this tablescape for several months now
and I'm very pleased with how well it turned out!

The vegetable pick is from Michael's Craft Store in the $1 bin, and the greenery sprays  I found at Goodwill for $1.50 each.
When I got them home I found Walmart tags on them for $7.99 each!

The Aunt Jenny's Peas jar belonged to my Mom and I have had the S&P set for several years but they were also a Goodwill purchase--I forget how much.

These were a MUST for this tablescape, I found these at Michael's Craft Store as well.
Too cute!!

The red and green flower shaped plates were a yard sale find for $2.
I thought they helped pick up the colors in the tablecloth.

The napkins are actually kitchen hand towels that I cut in half  so that I would have four of them instead of the two that I found. You can read about the towels HERE.

This stemware is from my wedding.

My tablecloth was a Goodwill find for $2.50!!

The cabbage bowls were purchased at Goodwill as well. $6 for the large serving one  (I have it upside down for my centerpiece) and 8 small ones. What a great deal those were!!

The asparagus dish I purchased at the local Peddlers Mall for $4

This is a recipe for Skinny Taco Dip!
I have it pinned on my recipe board on Pinterest.
You can go HERE to see other recipe's that I have pinned!
I'd love to have you as a follower and I'd be happy to follow you back as well.

  • 8 oz 1/3 less fat Philadelphia cream cheese
  • 8 oz reduced fat sour cream
  • 16 oz jar mild salsa
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 2 cups iceberg lettuce, shredded
  • 2 large tomatoes, diced
  • 1 cup reduced fat shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2.25 oz black olives,
In a large bowl combine cream cheese, sour cream, salsa and taco seasoning andmix well with an electric mixer. Spread on the bottom of a large shallow glass dish.Top with shredded lettuce, tomatoes, shredded cheese and black olives. Serve with baked tortilla chips.

Enjoy! Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a really wonderful week!
