Purple & Silver Tablescape, the party that never happened..........

Well, it has certainly been awhile but I am still alive and breathing! Sometimes when you get behind it just seems impossible to catch up however slowly but surely I'm getting there.

Today I want to share with you a purple and silver tablescape that I had put together for our New Years Eve party BUT- 3 am that morning I woke up with the flu and could hardly move let alone host a party so we had to cancel our plans.

Although the party never happened I still enjoyed looking at the tablescape and I hope you do to!
I am joining Marty at A Stroll Thru Life for Table Top Tuesday, please stop by and visit her here http://astrollthrulife.blogspot.com for many other great designs!

I used silver chargers under my antique cut glass plates with their punch cups, stemmed glasses, clear dessert cups and just my everyday flatware. I used purple dinner napkins and wrapped a clear glass beaded stem from Hobby Lobby around them and also I used clear glass napkin rings that were a lawn sale find last summer for $1.50. The silver keys were from Walmarts Christmas ornament aisle for .50 (after C-mas sale)

I found this lovely gray/silver tone sheery material at a lawn sale for .25 last summer and when I got it home I realized it was made to be used as a shower curtain! It worked perfectly on the table though, I love items that can be used for more than one purpose!! I then placed a purple shimmery pc of material in the middle and layered a silver mesh material on top of that.

The centerpiece is a long thin mirror with black iron t-light holders that were purchased from $ tree, clear acrylic gems from the craft dept at Walmart and a large glass vase (also a lawn sale find) that I filled with beads and decorative stems purchased at Hobby Lobby.

With the candles lit and the lights on dim this table really sparkled, I just wish we could have had the party to go along with it!
